Waynetown, Nov 6 – William M. Hibbs, 65, long a farmer, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday at his home here, after having been failing several years and seriously ill two weeks. He was born in Fountain County April 2, 1872, a son of Joseph and Amanda (Murray) Hibbs and was married Oct 31, 1918 to Mrs. Grethiel Forrest in Danville, Ill. Mr. Hibbs was a member of Snyder’s Chapel and all his life was spent in Fountain, Montgomery and Tippecanoe counties, moving here last spring. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Olena Springer, of near here and Miss Mary Evelyn Hibbs, at home; a step-daughter, Miss Fannie Forrest, at home, and two brothers, Alfred Hibbs of Linden and Ira Hibbs, Indianapolis. The funeral will be held at Snyder’s Chapel, two miles northwest of here, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Helen Grantham of Dunkirk officiating; interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  - kbz
